Our list of Sub Contractors
Okay, now that we are getting close to the end, I can tell you more about the
quality and service of each contractor. I can actually summarize most of
them up together, and say it was a great experience and I would definitely
highly recommend any of them.
The only one I would like to have done over, is the plumber. "I will be
there tomorrow" or "I will be there on Monday", usually happens in a few weeks
or even a month later. This may be standard for all plumbers, I don't
know. I do understand that things come up, but my other subs at least give
me the courtesy of a call so I can plan accordingly. I am also not happy
about the quality of his work. Just seems to have a half @$$ attitude on
everything. Maybe because this is not a multi-million dollar mansion in
some fancy paved sub-division in Columbia or Jefferson City, but I just have
never felt like our job was a priority.
I went with this plumber because he was part of Air & Water Solutions out of
Columbia, that was doing my geothermal. I thought he would be in the know,
and we wouldn't have to try to educate a plumber on the workings of the
geothermal. I think he did do a good job in that department, or maybe the
geo guys did all that, but either way, there was a checks and balance system
there. He had to do a good job because the geo guys needed it done a
certain way. Now that I am thinking about it, that might have all been
done by the HVAC team anyways.
I would recommend the Geothermal/HVAC team. They weren't the least
expensive bid that I received, and they weren't the highest bid that I received,
but their front man was great in explaining everything to me and he always got
right back to me when I had a question. He is no longer there, but my
experience with the HVAC has been positive.
Everyone else has been a positive experience also. The only issue that
I have with anyone that has worked on this house, is the plumber.
