• Rec Room - Lower Level

Ceiling isn't in yet but I am not sure when they are coming back to do it.  It will be metal panels so shouldn't make too big of a mess, so I have been moving a few things here and there.

• Kitchen Cabinet knobs went on. 

• Lower Level Floor is finished
• Doors started to go on
• Ceiling started

• Textured Glass installed in the master bath.  We are going to live with them for a little while, and then probably end up frosting the back side.  These mirrors might just be temporary.  The ones I really wanted, are out of stock.  They are dark frame with a arched curve at the top that matches the arch of the cabinet.  Will probably get those mirrors at some point.  These ended up being extra mirrors from upstairs, so these will do for now.

Progress made:

• Drywall hung, taped, mudded, sanded
• Walls primed and painted in most rooms
• Adam's room & bathroom are painted and floors laid
• Kitchen, office, laundry - all the cabinets are in.  Kick plate went on yesterday
• Laundry room still missing cubby bench but that can wait
• Might order countertops yet this week
• Cabinet knobs, pulls and bin pulls arrived.  I always thought I wanted Swedish Iron, and then at the last minute I decided to order Brushed/Satin Nickel.  I think either would have looked just fine but I do like these with the SS appliances.

• Adam's room - We experimented with the wall paint.  It goes onto the ceiling for about a 6 inch strip.  I thought this might elongate the walls, but also I thought it would add another area of interest if we put up white crown molding.  Adam doesn't want the crown for an extra border though, but I think it does make the walls seem a little taller.

• The green bedroom, blue bedroom, and cowboy bedroom only lack their accent wall be painted.  Maybe today that will be finished but here is my line of thinking....

   

  • Green Bedroom will be decorated more with a masculine theme.  Shaker Beige walls with a Camouflage accent wall.

  

   

  • Blue Room will be a little more contemporary with Shaker Beige walls with a Middlebury Brown Accent Wall.

  

   

  • Cowboy Bedroom - I promised I wouldn't go overboard with the "horsey" stuff in the house, so this room will have a horse rug on the floor and then regular comforters on bunk beds.  The rug has brown tone squares for a border so I think they will match nicely.
